Don’t Let Colors Hold You Back!

Good Monday morning scrappers. Team member La’Shawn here to talk about kits and their colors. I am a bit exited to talk about this with you guys. As a mom of 1 little boy and 3 little nephews, I am always on the look out for those great boyish kits. When I first started scrapping digitally, I felt like everything was pink, glittery and girly. I let that hold me back. How was I going to scrap my little boy with pretty pink flowers and glitter?! I am here to tell you how I did….

I just did! I slapped that little boy’s photo and surrounded him with pink and glitter. If I liked the kit, I scrapped with it. Since usually I scrap him, he has some (what I think) are lovely pages inĀ traditional girl colors.

You should never let colors and what is considered traditional hold you back from scrapping. Girls can be scrapped in blues and greens. Boys can be scrapped in pink and yellow. We’ve advanced enough in society that everyone can wear what they want to. It is time for our scrapping pages to reflect that. If you like it, scrap it! You are going to love these examples I found in Amanda’s gallery showcasing just that.

Not to mention that Amanda has some great kits and collections to help you do just that. We would love to see your take on this! Scrap something out of the traditional color roles and let us know! Link us back up here on the blog, Amanda’s FB, and of course the gallery! You never know when your layout will show up here on the blog. I am around every week looking at what you all are creating. So, make sure you are uploading. I would love to showcase your layout. Here are some of those great examples of Amanda’s kits and collections I was talking about. A jump start in not letting those colors hold you back from scrapping those photos.
